You have a better chance of winning on the craps table in Vegas then seeing the sun in BC. So with this in mind I assumed there was no when in hell that I would see blue sky on my four day stop over on my way to AK. My first 3 days were predictable gray and the forecast did not look much better for today but being our last day in town we decided to head up at first light and hope for a few sucker holes. It paid off. We were rewarded with three hours of good weather and managed to get in three legit shots before our luck ran out and the clouds overtook us.
I could not believe my eyes when we rolled up to this face just as the sun was rising.
The snow was blower and the sluffs were fast. Nico winning the race with his sluff.
This was the first steep face I have ridden in almost a month. My track is to the left and Nico’s to the right.
Drinking tee in the cat watching Loris rip another fast one.
Fredrick passed on the prebuilt booter to rip some lines. This morning session was a perfect warm up for AK and left me drooling for more.
The last run of the trip. Loris will have to take a snowmobile, a bus, a taxi, 3 flights and a train ride before he gets to ski again.
