The push north has begun. It was bitter sweet leaving home. Saying bye to my family was really hard but I am ready get north and into the goods. It feels like a long time since I have ridden deep snow. My first stop on my way to AK is at Backcountry Snowcats outside of Pemberton, BC for an O’Neill photo shoot. Once again I had very little details of where exactly I was going. It was not until I was half way through a long sled ride to the lodge that I realized I had been in the area years ago visiting Johan before there was a cat operation their.

I came in at the end of the shoot. There was 20 people for the shoot and it was raining. 15 people left, the rain turned to snow and we went freeriding all day.

jeremy jones snowboarding We left the film cameras at home and did a “love of sport” day. I have worked with Fritchi a lot this year and this was the first time we have put the camera away and just snowboarded. He took full advantage of a day with out the midget and charged off of everything.
