TGR’s Lost and Found, 2007
This was my first time to the Tordrillo Mountains. They are bigger then we are use to and lie 60 miles from Denali. Weather was tough on this trip and I found myself pacing the lodge the last 10 days because we had some huge lines scoped and all we needed was a few hour break in the weather. Never got it but what we did get was insane. I will be back!
Standard Film’s Draw the Line, 2006
One of the heaviest years of my life. My first three shots of the year ended in bad crashes. It was the year Doug Coombs died and Marc Andre’ got paralyzed filming with TGR. To top it of the Avi Conditions were horrible in AK. Early on it was fun to play with the small slides, the crowns were only 2″ to 4″ deep. (Check the first shot.) It ended up snowing Eight feet on the bad layer and for the first time ever we sent our heli home early on a blue bird day and called it summer. When the year ended I did not think I would have a film part. Every set up we did worked that year. I think 95% of the shots I filmed that year ended up in a movie. Live to Ride Another Day.
Three Days with the O’Neill Team in Europe. 2006
Europe Kicks ass. Insane lift access and the birthplace of extreme everything. I go there every year to ride but getting filming conditions is tough. It seems like everytime I go there I am riding early season conditions. Fo some reason Europe is the most humbling place I ride. Maybe it is the 65+ people a year that die in the mountains around Chamonix.
La Quninta Films, Lines 2006
This is one of the best snowboard movies I have ever been in. It is a timeless classic and one of the best looks at what goes down in Alaska.
Really cool European film from one Europe’s best filmers Guido Perrini. Get the full download www.guidoperrini.com
